jackchurchill
Hi. Is it possible to side-chain the level of a peak on a Channel EQ inside Logic X, so that the signal from a snare will trigger the EQ peak to come down?I know there is know side-chain input on the EQ plugin but can it be done through the environment window? Thanks Jack:)
Eric Cardenas
No, it's not possible. What you could do is to make a copy of your audio and use some filters to isolate a specific band. Then use a sidechain compressor on the isolated track.
mrduder
can't you use a multi band compressor with a side chain input for this? the fabfilter pro-mb can do just this. same with the waves C6 sidechain. unfortunately the multipressor in logic doesn't have a sidechain input. Eric Cardenas
Sure you can. This is basically the option that I tried to provide with Logic's own plug-ins.
