yojames
I'm recording bass direct. It's tuned really low with distortion. I'm using the "Mellow Bass" channel strip, and my region looks like pasta drying in the Tuscany sun. The guitar is the top track and my electric bass in the lower track. Pretty weird, it sounds fine though. It's centered and I can hear it just fine. Is satan taking over my session since it's heavy metal?? Just wondering if this has happened to any one else. yojames
OK, I lit some incense, said a prayer, and changed the battery in my active Specter bass. All is well. I noticed my signal had dropped a bit more after I posted the question. Looks like the fresh battery did the trick. I now have a normal looking wave in my bass region. Let that be a lesson to me, and all. Can anyone explain why a low battery caused my region to look so different?
dubstock
Probally because the weak batt made the pickups only end a signal out the left side instead of the stereo signal
cb50dc
Or, as he said, maybe Satan.
