Audio tracks

Hi can someone tell me how i can record an audio track in cycle mode without creating a bunch of tracks each pass.I have gone into the recording menu to disable the option auto create tracks in cycle record,but i'm still getting a track each time the cycle ends and records the second pass.

 

Also is there a reason why the follow tempo is only available with audio files recorded in Logic.

That's the only possible behavior in cycle mode. The recording song settings you mention are for MIDI recording only, even the section that says "General".

The cycle mode is really useful, I prefer doing many takes looped like that then trying to punch in accurately.

 

But yeh, you will just have to go through with the mute tool and find your best take, then just delete those "tracks" with the bad takes and bam.. you are back to one track.
