NorthStreet
Hello, I have an issue where I record a Virtual instrument, and suddenly the volume of that instrument drops out. It even happened randomly with Logics Drummer. I notice that my midi output shows a constant 1C-2 0 flashing on and off, I think this may be part of the issue.... Can anyone tell me what this is doing? Thanks Scott
David Nahmani
Do you have any MIDI devices connected? Any software running on the Mac beside Logic Pro?
NorthStreet
I do have other MIDI Devices, I am in the process of disconnecting everything now, and trying to see if the Keyboard controller is the culprit. Interestingly enough in my audio and Midi setup, I cannot seem to remove old devices. ~S <> OK So I disconnected MIDI Device Faderport (HUI Control surface) MIDI Output stops flashing, I then record B3 organ chords and after 15 seconds The Volume DROPS Out. This is wild.
David Nahmani
You can see the volume events in your screenshot. Whatever MIDI controller you're using is sending MIDI Volume events. Turn off that controller and choose Window > Show Musical Typing, then use the computer keyboard to record a part, the issue should disappear? NorthStreet
Thanks David, I swapped out the Keystation for an Oxygen25 keyboard, the only thing is I no longer have an expression pedal. But I can live with that. Regards ~Scott
David Nahmani
At least now you know where the problem comes from.
