3ple
for a long time, all my projects are set to "no overlap" today I noticed that when I copied a region, it overlapped it didn't happen that way when I just dragged it (not copy) Look at how I dragged once and then how I dragged as a copy after that
Atlas007
How does it playback?
3ple
How does it playback? I don’t know, because then I just went and ended up merging everything. But I’m curious to know if anyone knows why this happens
Atlas007
(very) Wild guess: have you experimented with the recording overlap prefs?
3ple
(very) Wild guess: have you experimented with the recording overlap prefs? This is happening with two recorded MIDI regions, so that wouldn't apply here And as you can see, that's not happening when I'm moving the region, only when I'm making a copy, that's why it's weird... Atlas007
Oh, sorry, my bad... Then, I'd say that would be the proper (intended) behavior; as the dragging option applies on dragging while moving, not copying (regardless of the copy method used)... This is probably a bug with that project, because most of my recent bugs are happening there. Look at a clean project and how it behaves (the way it should). One time I move it, another time I copy it. On both situations, the region on the left is cut where the new region is dropped, unlike my example on the original post:
