  1. Hey all, hope you are all well. I've come across a weird issue after setting up Logic on a new MacBook Pro. After installing Logic (10.7.7) and bookmarking my sample folders in the Media Browser (f) no files are returned/shown when searching from the Bookmark Tab, yet if I navigate to the same folder from the Home tab in the Media Browser and search from there my search reveals the files I'm looking for. Has anyone come across this issue before or similar? I've tried navigating through the files from the Home tab to show the paths and removing then re-adding the bookmarked folders but so far nothing is returned/shown for any folder when I search from the Bookmarks Tab. Thanks for any help hereon this. Cheers
  2. yeah link is the method to sync the DAWs and you can use the IAC buses to send midi from one DAW to another. Yeah I'll send Ableton a message and see if they can provide any support. Cheers
  3. Hey there No change for me, they're still out on sync even if I have the grid and global quantise set to the same amounts. I've tried changing Live's grid to various values and Logics but no change. It's very weird. Have you tried recording midi from Live to Logic or vice versa via the IAC bus? I'm trying to send some Max4Live midi to Logic but the two are never in time so the midi notes don't sync in time to logic. Glad you got it working though. Cheers
  4. Yeah you're right it does vary. I sent them a feedback email today on this. That's a good call about doing the screen share support call. I think there's a support number specific to Logic do you know what it is? Cheers
  5. Hey there Yeah I have the same issue, I've tried a number of things (linking Logic and Live without any plugins, messing with the delay compensation, using in Native mode etc) but I can't get the two to run exactly in sync, there seems to be around a 13 millisecond delay between the two DAWs. I was so glad to see this when it came out and had some big ideas for live performance but this timing issue puts things on hold for the moment. If anyone has any ideas on fixes please let us know. Cheers
  6. Hey Jakob, quick follow up question.....is there a way to save the channel with the external out and the Environment routing even just to a monitor and transformer so it's ready to connect to targets? I've tried saving as a channel strip setting and as as an Apple Loop but neither recreate the environment routing. Any thoughts on how this could be recalled so I'm not having to rebuild it for each project or channel that needs multiple modulation routing. Many thanks
  7. Hey Jakob, thanks for posting this the external instrument was where I was going wrong. you solution does the trick. Cheers 🍻
  8. Hey folks, I've been trying to work out if there is a way of using the environment window to route the output from the modulator plugin to more than one target parameter? I would think this is possible using the environment and the IAC bus's but can't figure out, I've done a google search as well but still on joy. Has anyone done this before or can think how this might be possible? Any help would be appreciated. Cheers
  9. Ahhhh that’s it! Yeah I was trying to select it straight into the channel strip! Funny how it doesn’t do it that way though. Cheers Jakob,
  10. Hi Logicers Can anyone confirm the following as I'm questioning myself on whether this was actually a feature, I'm sure Logic used to do this until he latest update.........When scrolling through or selecting a drum kit piece through the library I'm sure it used to audition the selected kit piece, for example scrolling through the library under "Electronic Drum Kit>Kit Pieces>Hi-Hats" Logic would audition the sound as it loaded up the channel strip. For me this doesn't seem to happen anymore, I'm pretty sure I haven't accidentally disabled something. Is this a thing or did it used to be? Just to confirm, samples or loops from the finder or loop browser audition as normal when scrolling through them. I haven't messed with he preview channel in the mixer. Cheers
  11. Ha, not sure what I was doing this morning but I count get it to extract from an audio file. I've just gone back to try it with another audio file and your right, it works with the transients. The work flow thing is what I've been used to doing in Ableton, I could hit "Command+I" to accept the warp markers then group/highlight the ones I don't need to move the audio around, I can see the workflow in Logic works the other way to add them in then move then move them in relation to each other. Anyway, no problem really the main thing was to extract grooves from audio, I'm not sure how I missed that earlier. Cheers
  12. Hey David, Hope you're well. A couple of workflow elements but the main one would be to extract grooved templates quickly from audio files, the other is I'd like to be able to work the other way with flex markers...what mean here is instead of having to go in and add the flex markers 3 at a time then delete the ones I don't want I could have a quick workflow to have them all up in then select the ones or groups of flex markers I'd like to delete. Hope this makes sense. Cheers
  13. Hey all Is there a key command or similar to convert the transient markers to Flex Markers automatically? For example if I have an audio region and Flex Time picks up the transients correctly, I don't want to have to go through and click the transient markers to convert them to Flex Markers, I just want to accept them and have them converted automatically. I've taken a look through the key commands but couldn't find anything that suggested this option was available. If anyone know this or if there's a quick alternative to convert transient markers to flex markers I'm all ears? Cheers
  14. Yeah absolutely. It's cool though there's a way to get it working which is probably the correct way to do it. Cheers
