  1. Oh yes the artifacts are all there and its clunky, but, I find it has its uses although I wouldn't mix using it. I do orchestral arrangments of covers so its a useful prep tool for me.
  2. Totally agree rAC I too am a Score user and I wish it would do a bit of catching up with what my colleagues tell me can be done with ease on Sibelius, Dorico, Finale, even Musescore beats it from what I understand. Trouble is I just can't find the time to learn another app, and I don't want to work across two platforms anyway.
  3. Hi Sascha, Izotope (Music Rebalance) were able to do stem extraction on my old late 2015 iMac.
  4. Thanks David. The seperating stems thing looks like Izotope Music Rebalance - which is a useful tool. I really, really, hope they've made improvements to the very clunky Score, which I use (because I can't find time to learn anything else) which I'd like to work more seamlessy with the rest of the app.
  5. Thanks v much Atlas - I meant the filepath from the app to where the files are stored. I'll copy them onto the laptop and reload them. I'm relieved the heirachy seems fine. Although it took me a while to get started - I like what I've seen so far in MainStage. The alternative (Ableton Live was suggest and Q-Lab) are way more expensive and this will hopefully do the job.
  6. Hi I've just purchased MainStage (there was a comment here to say don't touch it but its only £30) for playback of audio backing, The audio is 'extras' not the main backing. So its only being used with the Playback plugin to run audio files, no loops, samples or triggers. Q1/ It appears to be pointing at the files on my external drive. I don't really want to take that out on shows, is there a way of migrating these onto my laptop without losing the path? Otherwise looks like I'll have to reload them. 2/ After much fiddling about (not much of any help on YouTube) I found what works is to have the songs as Patches directly under the Concert level. Is this an okay way to arrange stuff in this circumstance? I've managed to map a Korg nanoKontrol2 so that it starts/stop and swaps song. I have to say I'm impressed with the nice big performance window - our drummer won't need his glasses. Any feedback from the experienced users much appreciated.
  7. It was VU Meter - actually a useful plugin but there was some confusion with Waves as to whether I'd updated it to V14 - long story...
  8. Thanks Atlas. In case anyone else is having this problem I did hunt down a Waves plug-in that wasn’t up to date. I removed it, restarted and right now it appears to be okay. errant plug-ins appear to cause a multitude of problems..
  9. Hi this one only started yesterday. I have changed any gear, or hard drives. When I try to save a file, or save as, or save a copy as, I get the message "The Document xxx cannot be saved". Very perturbing as I am working on a show for a 20 piece orchestra rehearsal in a week! I noticed my Samsusung SSD wasn't formatted to Mac OS extended (Journaled) but I've tried saving to my other drives which are, and to the laptoip itself and I get the same result. I've closed and re-started, re-booted. I copied all the constents off my SSD, re-formatted and relaoded, same result. I've tried saving the same project under another name. It appears to be this project only as I've opened some other and don't appear to have a problem. Logic had started crashing regularly prior to this occurance (with this project). Any ideas would could be causing this?
  10. Thanks Maddcow who makes ‘Live’?Googling it isn’t narrowing it down.
  11. Okay understood and thanks. ih well, here we go!
  12. A little update. I've managed (still showing the errors) to import the text styles, but it won't import score sets (shows them as blank with wingdings as titles) and you can't delete them. I understand the 'can't delete' issue has been going on for some time - and I thought they'd sorted it out with updates - oh well. Thanks for the suggestion rAC, it was worth a try. So I copied the project with the score sets (I have many I created previously)to a different drive, same result. Bewilderingly you have to click 'cancel and 'abort' (above) about 10 times each before you can return to the project.
