JamJuice1
Hi - My mod wheel has stopped working. Has been fine for years but now I'm only able too get it working if I select "Bypass all control surfaces" from the Control Surfaces menu. Have tried deleting com.apple.logic.pro.cs but made no difference. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

JamJuice1
Thanks Nanook but that didn't work. Nothing comes up in Controller assignments.
David Nahmani
Nothing comes up in Controller assignments. But you do have assignments in that window, correct? Can you share a screenshot of your Controller Assignment window?
JamJuice1
Hi David! I do have other assignments in the Controller Assignment window as normal. All the other faders etc work as expected, but not the mod wheel.
David Nahmani
One of those assignments in that window is the mod wheel. That's why when you bypass your assignments, the mod wheel resumes functioning. You have to locate the mod wheel assignment and delete it.
JamJuice1
Hi - I can create a new entry for the mod wheel and then delete it but that's all.
Jordi Torres
Hi, When all else fails, quit Logic and delete the control surfaces preferences file (com.apple.logic.pro.cs) in your user account's Library/Preferences folder. If you can't find the folder it's because it's hidden. To access it, hold down the Option key while opening the Finder's "Go" menu. J. JamJuice1
Hi J, I thought i had done this before but I did it again (Perhaps last time wasn't in my user account) and it worked! All was good... until today and it's doing the same thing again. No mod wheel. Why would that be happening again? Since last time the only changes have been updating logic pro x and i'm (temporary) using a different midi controller keyboard. Any thoughts? Thank you
Solution Jordi Torres Posted June 10, 2016 Solution Share Posted June 10, 2016 Hi, Could be that your MIDI Controller (which one is it?) is being pre-mapped thanks to a recently added feature that automatically maps certain USB-MIDI Controllers. Go to Logic Pro X > Control Surfaces > Preferences > MIDI Controller. If your controller is listed there, try disabling automatic assignment and see if that takes care of it.. Mark Scola
Just wanted to send a big thanks to Jordi Torres for his great tip on trashing the control surfaces preferences file (com.apple.logic.pro.cs) in your user account's Library/Preferences folder. This completely cleared up all my Roland A-500 Pro/LPX pitch and mod wheel issues ... which were driving me nuts. Thanks again, Jordi.

Joseph.Moser
Why does my mod wheel work in every vst but not quick sampler. It works in sampler (zone per note) but not quick sampler. Pitch works but not mod. Any idea?

Maybe a screenshot of your Quicksampler settings might help (needless to say it works perfectly fine here) Edited April 10 by polanoid

Go to the Mod Matrix and make sure you assign your mod wheel to a target, then raise the amount (%). For example these settings make the mod wheel modulate the filter cutoff:
