JamesK Posted May 16, 2018 Share Posted May 16, 2018 As I understand it now to create an audio alias properly one needs to first place it in a folder then create an alias of the folder. It would be wonderful if we could eliminate placing the audio event in a folder and simply create the alias directly like we do with MIDI. Yes I have posted to Apples feature requests as well. Cloning an audio region is similar to creating an alias of a MIDI region; the clone doesn’t contain any audio data, but is only a reference to the original, and any changes to the original apply to its clones. JamesK Posted May 17, 2018 Author Share Posted May 17, 2018 Thank you Atlas. that is good for some things however it doesn't seem to work properly if you're using flex pitch on a region. When placing an audio region first in a folder then creating an alias of that folder it updates any flex pitch adjustments made in the original copy.
