In my case I add a Faderport.bundle to LPX>Contents>MIDI Device Plug-ins. I tried 4 times to update 10.4.3 to 10.4.4 and it failed but when I removed the Faderport.bundle it updated successfully. It may just be a coincidence or the app store could be doing some type of integrity check and discovered the package contents had been changed. Thanks for that info - but I still can't update LPX to 10.4.4 from the App Store, the download gets most of the way through and then stops and then displays again the 'Update' message for Logic Pro X. I reverted to a copy of LPX 10.4.2 (from .3) with out any difference. I've tried deleting AppStore Preferences (&LPX) and Caches, and installing Mohave, without result. It just treats their customers like thieves, with it we are either going to steal their software or sell their software. I regularly use 3 computers in the studio and they only allow you one license. They release software and are FAR to quick to orphan it and just aren't treating the customers, especially their Mac customers, the way I think we should be treated. It's a shame, too. HalionSonic 2 is a really, really good plug in. The synths have excellent sound and the step sequencer is the best I've seen in a plug in. (Can we please get a step sequencer in Logic, please?) But now HalionSonic 2 is 'unstable' in os 10.14 and I expect they are never going to fix it because you can buy HalionSonic 3 as the fix. I gave up on Cubase and switched to Logic after Cubase 4, which was embarrassingly bad. That was after a dozen years as a Cubase user. Logic may have some issues, but they all do and I genuinely like working in Logic. And speaking of Logic, I LOVE the ability to turn off midi ports.
