We're trying to figure out where the harshness you're talking about comes from. If the built-in mic has no harshness and doesn't sound robotic then the problem is with the Scarlett or the Mic. You need to go through a rigorous troubleshooting process if you want to get to the bottom of this. There are still multiple questions left unanswered in this thread.
