doofus
in my Logic Preferences/General window, there is an "auto backup" section and I have selected "last 10 alternative versions". But if I go to "File/Revert to" I only get a list of 5 versions. Why the discrepancy? thanks!
Atlas007
Did you Save (not save as) more than 5 times? Which precise version of Logic are you using?
doofus
1) quite possibly-I tend to save frequently while working-but I can't say for sure. 2) 10.5.1 thanks

An easy way to actually test it is by creating a project with one region of one bar (say on track one), hit Save. Name that project TEST. Repeat the region (Cmd+R) Save the project (Cmd+S) Repeat the above 2 steps more than 10 times. You should end up with the number of backup versions set in your preferences. One has to be aware of the nuance regarding Project Alternatives vs project's backups. Which the nomenclature in the preferences could be misleading... IOW: a Project Alternative can have its own set of backups.
