Deleting alias channel without effecting other ones

This is Mainstage, not Logic. No regions here.

To avoid having multiple instances of identical (memory-hungry) plugins in different patches it is possible to alias a Channel strip into another patch.

As far as the "problem" goes: Not sure what you mean either. If I delete an "alias" channel strip only that strip in that particular patch gets deleted. Of course if I delete (or change) the original "source" strip all other strips will disappear. But those are easy to tell apart:

Alias

Clicking on the arrow in the Alias strip will take you to the source strip. In addition when deleting a source strip you'll get a warning message.
