varol
I do want to remove one alias channel from one patch but I just want to delete it on one particular patch not in all patches that alias channel used. How do I do that?
Atlas007
Not too sure to understand what you mean actually. Wild guess then: how about converting to real region the alias’ one(s)? Some rearrangement could also be needed (moving regions to different tracks, reassigning same, etc)…
Solution gacki Posted September 7, 2022 Solution Share Posted September 7, 2022 This is Mainstage, not Logic. No regions here. To avoid having multiple instances of identical (memory-hungry) plugins in different patches it is possible to alias a Channel strip into another patch. As far as the "problem" goes: Not sure what you mean either. If I delete an "alias" channel strip only that strip in that particular patch gets deleted. Of course if I delete (or change) the original "source" strip all other strips will disappear. But those are easy to tell apart: Source Alias Clicking on the arrow in the Alias strip will take you to the source strip. In addition when deleting a source strip you'll get a warning message.

varol
Thanks gacki I guess I had a hard time differentiate original and alias channels. Edited September 8, 2022 by varol
