chrisbradshaw
Hi all, Not sure how I've done this but all of my 'user' folders have disappeared in my plug in and instrument menus. I spent a long time organising things to suit my workflow so as you can imagine its pretty frustrating. Is there a way to restore previous plug in manager settings? I have time machine running so can call back older dated preferences or versions of Logic etc. Many thanks!
des99
Sure - restore the ~/Music/Audio Music Apps/Database/Tags folder and it's contents from your backups, and you should be back up and running.
chrisbradshaw
Awesome, thank you very much. Some of the categories aren't as fleshed out as they once were - I don't know why but its not far off where I had it. Whilst we're talking about the plug-in manager. Is it possible to create custom 'shortcuts'? Eg. If I have a kontakt instrument, can we somehow put them in the plug in menus and rename it instead of just the Kontakt player? Or does that have to be done through channel strip settings? Many thanks! Edited November 6, 2022 by chrisbradshaw
des99
Not like that, as a Kontakt instrument isn't a plugin. You can save a patch though, which will load the plugin and whatever instrument is loaded etc, name them as you like, and recall them from the Library browser. Plus the old channel strip method works as well.
