thirdspace
Hi folks - MainStage does not appear to have an option to disable 'Silence Previous Audio Patch' - the maximum amount of time the previous patch can persist appears to be 60 seconds. Is there a way to disable this? I was hoping to use patches that use freeze delays and infinite reverbs, as well as Loopback, all of which I wanted to keep going when I changed patch. And all these are rendered silent when changing to another patch. Which means I have to load everything I need into one patch - which is not impossible but kinda not what I was hoping for! Any suggestions?
Atlas007
Sustain pedal? IIRW, while a note is held down, it will keep playing the initial instrument even after the patch switch…
gacki
I don't think there's a fixed cutoff after 60 seconds (at least not in 3.4.4). I have a patch with infinite delay running in the background for several minutes now (after switching to another patch). So at least Delay Designer keeps running. Same for ChromaVerb in Freeze mode. thirdspace
Thanks for the replies. Had to go back and check I wasn't imagining this and yes you are right, there isn't a fixed cutoff UNLESS you are using audio tracks. Keyboard tracks are fine. Maybe a feedback protection kind of thing? Anyway, I'd still like to disable it for audio tracks!
