Using drum pad as midi trigger

I have yamaha dd75 drum pad midi into quantum interface, i set up a midi instrument track which recognizes the quantum, put it on All channels but no input, how do I link it to logic to use as drum trigger for Drum Designer or Sampler instrument drum sounds for individual drum tracks step writing/editing? I have always just used the sampler and step written my drums, Thanks

Did you connect the dd75 MIDI-OUT to you quantum MIDI-IN or to your Mac?

Did you create a software instrument track in Logic? Onto which you have instantiated the Drumkit Designer plugin?

If you record a MIDI track and hit the pad, do you get notes recorded, or do you get nothing?

If you get notes, what MIDI channel are they on?

Drum Pad is plugged into the quantum midi in, I get nothing

I tried a midi instrument  track as well as software instrument  w drum designer

I added multi onstrument in the environment  and linked to quantum and I got the pad to trigger on the midi piano roll but no input to siftware or midi instrument channel, yes it's set to record

As a test, if you create a new empty project with one software instrument track and insert one of Logic's synth, say the ESM, you can hit the pad and hear synth notes?

is it possible that the notes are too short? I was having that issue with and Alesis drum pad, there was no way to set the duration of the note so I had to use a midi plug in to extend the note duration, here is the link to the scripter that one of our great contributors made
