Move MIDI/Automation Data in Piano Roll Editor between Controllers

Hi, I have automation data assigned to the MIDI Volume in a MIDI region and I am trying to to move it to Modulation (in the Piano Roll Editor). I know there is a procedure for doing this for automation data on a Track, but it doesn't seem to work in the Piano Roll Editor on a MIDI region. Is there a way to do this?

Hi maestrovt,

You can do it easily from the Event List editor:

Select one MIDI Volume Event, then Edit > Select > Similar Events (or Shift + S). 

Double click the one of the 7s in the Num column and enter a 1.

They will all turn into Modulation events.

Admittedly more convoluted but another approach could be by mean of the transform function.
