prentis82
It would be nice to have more than 3 banks for drum machine designer. Ideally 8 banks like the MPC and Ableton. It would definitely speed up a few things.
Atlas007
Please forgive my lack of knowledge, but what do you mean by banks for drum machine designer?
prentis82
If you look at the picture below the pads you should see 3 circles representing the different banks. each bank has 16 pads inside each of them giving you a total of 48 pads. The MPC and Ableton live give you 128 pads to put drums on. I know I can always use external plugins (I've done it for years). But I do like how logic handles things. Do you really use 128 different individual drum sounds in a song? That must be some crazy music you make. I think the most drum tracks I've ever needed was about 40. But I make 80's electronic butt rock so YMMV. Edited May 10, 2023 by Totigerus

I didn't think I'd need more than nine marker sets until I did 🙂 Anyway, there are lots of interesting and odd things you can do with drum kit systems (e.g. Logic's DMD or Ableton's drum racks), and some of those may involve more or less arbitrary numbers of pads. prentis82
Having that many banks just makes it so you don’t have to keep changing drum kits as much.. they’ll be stretch across as many keys as you can fit. It just speeds up work flow a bit..
