Recording MIDI in Cycle Mode, end of bar placed before start of bar

This probably isn't a bug, but I can't understand why this happens.

I'm playing a fill at the end of this bar, when recording in cycle mode to take folders.

But instead of being at the end, Logic places it before the start of the bar within my take folder.

Is there a way to change this behaviour, other than setting the cycle length to be longer?

Does your project start at the default 1.1.1.1 ?

No it’s extended one bar to the left, if I understand what you mean

It is notorious that Logic will start behaving idiosyncratically if anything is placed/recorded/edited before 1.1.1.1…

I had heard as much. I’ll see if this is what’s doing it. My reason for setting it that way was to have a small lead-in and still be able to call Bar 1, Bar 1

I know, it's kind of odd that one could fiddle freely before the 1.1.1.1 in the timeline, despite this causing problems (possibly up to corrupting the project altogether, btw).

However for the sake of scoring, one could adjust the bar numbering to circumvent that issue. Not ideal, but workable.

For the time line, one could use the marker global track to create bars markers. But admittedly a clunky solution...
