Danny Wyatt
Different scenarios, different behaviors: 1 - Playhead on 25.1.1.1: everything after the playhead get selected, but not anything inside bar 25. It has to be on bar 26.1.1.1 or after. Bar 25 beat 1 / 2 / 3 or 4, doesn't get selected: 2 - Playhead on bar 25, the Crash region is selected prior to using Select All Following, everything on and after bar 25 gets selected: 3 - Playhead on bar 24 (other than 24.1.1.1), same behavior as scenario 1. Also, selecting region "Crash", gets the same result as scenario 2. 4 - Playhead at 24.1.1.1, everything gets selected, same as scenario 2: 1
Atlas007
My impression is that when no data is selected (event/region/etc), Logic considers the playhead bar position as the starting point, which consist of the entire bar (from beginning to end of it). It seems like it. Instead of assuming that the "following" starts where the playhead is, it's looking at the whole bar where the playhead is. It's kinda weird if that's the case, because it would be more "logical" that it would use the playhead position as the starting point. It's not a big deal, as long as I get into the habit of selecting at least 1 region, but it would be great if they would make it more obvious. Atlas007
I wonder if it’s related to Logic’s behaviour to record at least an entire bar region when recording MIDI…
David Nahmani
This looks like a bug to me. When a region is selected you get the expected behavior, but when the playhead is selected you get an unexpected result. I'll report it.
David Nahmani
I've reported it and provided the following animation:

I can see that in your case it's even worse, because it pick random regions. At least selecting a region before using the shortcut works as expected. At least that. However, I have since tried to reproduce this bug and it picked regions that were a little after, but less than 1 bar after the playhead.
