heavypop
I wish for customisable key commands to control specific parameter on specific plugin on specific track. For example: - Gain plugin mono switch on my end bus in my template to switch on and off - Switch on and off eq bands on my end bus channel eq. That would require to name the track number of the key command. Edited October 5, 2023 by heavypop
David Nahmani
You could do this with a MIDI controller, or if you get Keyboard Maestro then you could assign it a key command.
heavypop
Thanks for the tip David! The thing is that I dont like midi controllers (besides piano keys) - actually havent found any good one. And 3:rd part software is something I tend to avoid. So the best and cleanest option would be a Logic native one. I'll have a look at Keyboard Maestro though... /Björn Edited October 5, 2023 by heavypop
heavypop
Just think about it, One wouldn't have to bring the monitor controller when on the go for example. I use the mono switch on the big knob a lot. Edited October 5, 2023 by heavypop

Atlas007
As mentioned by @polanoid, you could use your piano keyboard keys (on your MIDI controller) as ON/OFF switches in Smart Control. Smart control setup is then saved as part of a patch.
polanoid
...or, if you dare to, use one or two Transformers in the MIDI Environment.
heavypop
Oh, I see. That's a cool way of doing it. I prefer to use the computer to do things, however. It's the same procedure whether at the studio, at home or on the go. Sometimes without a midi keyboard even. So I must say, I would rather have an even more flexible key command setup. Hopefully Apple will provide this in a future Logic version 🙂 Edited November 1, 2023 by heavypop

Still I do agree with you that a native Apple solution for scripting such commands would be great!
