Ana Richey
I use a Focusrite 2i2 as my interface. I put on input monitoring in logic itself (& not on the interface) but when I have clients, why can't i hear them loud in my headphones (I can't turn up the microphone cos it will peak)... Any ideas on how to do this? It will be very helpful to work this issue out so I will be able to hear if the client id singing on tune or not in real time... Thank you. Atlas007
Not too sure to understand your issue… Perhaps bussing the mic to an extra/parallel Aux output (via a Send) onto which you could increase its level output to the cans (adding a gain-featured plugin if needed). That latter Aux’s output should n’t reach the final mix. Edited February 28 by Atlas007
David Nahmani
It sounds like your mix is "hot" (almost peaking) and now you can't turn up the one track you need to hear louder without it peaking. If you can't hear the input loud enough compared to al other tracks in the mix, then turn down all the tracks and turn up your headphone preamp to compensate.
