Back clicking sound on Note On with Studio Horns?

Group,

Sorry if this is an already covered topic but could not find anything on an initial search.

I am a relative newbie to Logic 10.8 and trying to use the Logic Studio Horns virtual instrument for the first time (Little Brazil is the patch).    They sound very good but I am getting a bad clicking sound on note on / off much of the time, although seemingly random.    Tried changing the note lengths, attack / release times, and many other parameters like humanize, key click, etc. - but cannot get it right or figure out what I am doing wrong.    If anyone has any tips regarding this I would appreciate it.

TIA!~

  • David Nahmani changed the title to Back clicking sound on Note On with Studio Horns?

I'll do that Dave, thanks.    It seems to have something to do with where the note on and offs fall relative to each other which would be an articulation thing.    I will try all the suggestions here and get back to you with a track if necessary.     Thanks!     - j

Hi.     Been meaning to get back here but have been busy with some recordings.    I have not been able to isolate the problem specifically yet and there are so many variables to examine it is quite a task.

I just don't know enough yet about how the Studio Horns work and need to go to school for awhile to figure it out.    Will let you know if I find an obvious cause or solution.     In the meantime, with some deep tweaking of note on / offs I was able to capture the part without clicks in this case but it took awhile.

Thanks for the help along the way.     - j
