tommydahlman
Sorry about the long explanation, but I’m a scientist, I have to be thorough😉 I have a project with a horn arrangement. The separate voices each have their own track and plugs. All regions start at the same place and are of the same length. I am in stop mode. Let’s say I have my playhead set to bar 31. I double-click a region to open the piano roll. It’s displaying the content at bar 31. If I want to see what’s happening in another voice, I press the up or down key on my keyboard to change track. In some cases the window displays the content at the same location on the "new" track, but very often jumps to “random” locations. The playhead is still at bar 31. Different tracks end up att different locations. There seems to be some sort of pattern, but I won’t go in to that now. To get the window to sync to the playhead I have to double click the spacebar to play/stop. And catch works, just as it says on the can. But it first “shakes” the window a bit while catching up. This makes me loose focus on that seventh 16th note of the phrase I was aiming for. Not cool. So my question is: Is there a way to Catch Stop with Content. I have tried every combination of the Catch, Link, Track/Region and Scroll behaviour at least three times. Is the a hidden key command? Can somebody please help me out of my misery. I’m on Logic 10.8.1.
Atlas007
Have you tried disabling the various Play and/or Record buttons’ options? You could access them by right-clicking (Ctrl-clicking) on each of them.
