idumb Posted March 12 Share Posted March 12 Hello, I'm making a song and I like the effect of lowing the tempo/pitch with varispeed+. I'm wondering if I can have it automatically change to an even lower tempo/pitch mid way through the song using the varispeed setting and not manually changing the tempo and semitones, as when I've tried doing that it doesn't sound the same. 180bpm > 140bpm > 110bpm using Varispeed+ doesn't sound the same as 140bpm > 110bpm / -8st > -4st I have sample drum loop and Midi in the song. apologies if this is a stupid question. Atlas007 Posted March 12 Share Posted March 12 If you wish to slow the tempo/lower the pitch, have you tried using either the Speed or Tempophone flex time algorithms. Since you are dealing with MIDI material, you might need to bounce-in-place same depending of the sought result… Alternately, you might also explore the possibility to sample your material to be processed and modulate the playback inside Sampler.
