Pointer Tools and Splitting Tracks

Hi Guys,

this may be associate with the Logic last update.

I've always been able to split tracks by a simple trackpad double click on a laptop.

My pointer tools were Pointer (Left Click) & Marquee (Right Click) or vice versa.

But now, no matter how I arrange the Pointer and Marquee I can't do that anymore.

If I choose Pointer (Left Click) & Marquee (Right Click) there is no Marquee hovering over the tracks.

If I choose Marquee (Left Click) & Pointer (Right Click) there is Marquee hovering over the tracks and I can split them by a double click, but I can't select tracks anymore, because the Pointer won't hover over them.

Does anyone have any ideas please?

Maybe you were using Marquee tool click zones? Choose Logic Pro > Settings > General and make sure Marquee tool click zones is selected.

Now you can get the Marquee when you hover the bottom half of regions, and you can double-click to split. And you get the Pointer when you hover the upper half, and you can click to select.

I think I found out what the issue is: One should pressing Command.

Then you can split by a double click and the Marquee shows up when you hover over the track.

So: Command + Double Click.

Left Click: PoInter

Right Click: Marquee

Thanks for your help though!
