globet
Dragged the audio anchor to the very far end, but there's still a space on the audio file in the tracks area. Any idea why this happens?
Atlas007
Have you tried to resize that region?

Interesting if I bounce that audio region and reimport it, the anchor lines up again.
David Nahmani
This is probably occurring because it's an apple loop? Try using it with a normal audio file.

Yeah, Apple Loops have this alignment issue, but if you position the Playhead to the right end of the audio file and move the anchor to it via KC the anchor should align. I'm still trying to figure out why bouncing and reimporting it fixed the issue. Might be bug. Will post it here if I find something.

My interest is why or how the old anchor became misaligned.

It's possible the "snap" value for the edit (movement of the anchor) was set to a non-sample level...i.e. to a beat, division, tick, etc. As a random thought, another potential gotcha could be to do with pre-defined crossfades. Solution David Nahmani Posted April 14 Solution Share Posted April 14 So this is a bug related to anchor position and apple loops. Normally, you shouldn't have an anchor when an audio file follows tempo. However with Apple Loops, you still see an anchor even though the loops follows tempo. That anchor positioned is however calculated with the audio file not following tempo, which results in a misalignment when the audio file is stretched or compressed. Follow Tempo & Pitch = ON Follow Tempo & Pitch = OFF 7 hours ago, globet said: bouncing and reimporting it fixed the issue. Because the new file is not an Apple Loop but a regular audio file.

globet
This is fixed. Thanks guys. When you turn off the "Follow Tempo..." check box for Apple Loops, the anchor is correctly aligned. See screenshot: Thanks guys.
