It's funny/strange, because I usually watch carefully for when people are mutually enjoying the love of a song... which you (Muses) and m2mathew obviously were. I see it all the time in a variety of places. I smile every time I see it. Makes me feel like the good guys are winning.

It's in 4/4. Stick a fork in it.

 

Regarding "I Want To Live In America", there's a specific name for that rhythm which alternates between 6/8 and 3/4, but I can't recall what it is. It's apparently a very popular rhythm in some Argentinian music (as a former piano teacher, who was Argentinian, told me many years ago).

Ski, I think your talking about Chacarera, though that alternation between 6/8 and 3/4 is also present in some other argentinian folk rhythms like Chamamé.
