Will an SSD cure the System overload issue?

Logic is flawed in it's construction. People with £10,000 macs come up against the System overload message when they are running small projects and there is no logical reasoning for that. Granted once you have hit this issue it is possible to workaround it somewhat BUT i have spent thousands and shouldn't have to considering i could have spent a fraction of that and be running a much more stable setup with a different DAW.

If i could go back to the start i wouldn't touch logic with a barge pole!!!haha I may still get rid of it.

Being able to afford expensive equipment does not necessarily come with the skills to operate it.

And there is always "a logical reasoning" for it - dûh, it is a computer; magical thinking is not a good way to approach any computing problem. That only works if you're King Julian.

For what its worth, I had a MacPro 8 core with 16gig Ram and was having the "System Overload" message all the time on the simplest of tracks. It ended up being a faulty bit of Ram. It was still under warranty so once that had been replaced all worked flawlessly.

What I am trying to say is look outside the Disk/CPU "box" if you are really stuck. I often run sessions when travelling over a USB 2 5400 RPM drive off a MBP 2011 i7 and it is rock solid.

.....just my two cents
