saloonstudios
I have very little experience in Logic other than recording simple audio tracks. I've been playing with GarageBand on ipad and I like that it has a simple "in key" mode where it removes all notes that are out of the specified key. Then today I was watching videos for Ableton's upcoming Push and noticed they've incorporated a similar mode as well. Is there something like this already in Logic? This all started because I got interested in sampling using iMaschine, then I started researching Maschine, and now I saw Push and I'm so torn. David Nahmani
No, I'm afraid there's no such mode in Logic, although there are ways to set it up so you can only program notes in a certain key....: Step Entering Notes limited by Key/Scale
Atlas007
Would'nt it be possible with a Transformer mapped accordingly?
David Nahmani
Yes, if you want to do some cabling in the environment... in fact even a mapped instrument would be perfect for the job. You would however have to map all your notes for each scale first.
