wonshu
Hey guys, I'm a big fan of Blackhole (Eventide, right now on sale for $29,- which is stupidly cheap and a no-brainer to get). Just out of curiosity I would like to get those kind of sounds with Logics built-in plugins but I can't see how to do it. Does anyone have a good idea of how to set this up? If it's even possible. -H
FLH3
Hello. Not like the real thing but you can achieve some interesting shimmering things with, in the order: Silververb Stereo Delay Pitch Shifter and an other Silververb You can manipulates the various parameters of those basic plugins and it's very sober on CPU A picture:

wonshu
I changed it a bit. I set the first pitch shifter to 100% and added another one last in the chain also at 100% but this one pitches it down to the original pitch again. Because tonally the pitch shifting (obviously...) creates some tonal rub. That can be nice, but this way, I'm compensating for it again. But it creates some more Schmutz in the delay / reverb chain.

Danny Wyatt
I never tried that BlackHole reverb, so I have no idea what it sounds like, but here's my take on the one shared by @wonshu. I just changed it from 5th to octave up and down, changed some parameters and I'm using it as an aux effect. Just experimenting ShimmerAUX.cst
FLH3
We can have a lot of fun with this principle of piling simple stock plugins. And when you put all that on an instrument track instead of a bus channel you can even affect a midi modulator to the pitch shift or whatever.

And there are lots of them to play with… Thanx guys for sharing! Really appreciated!
