Soundhound
I'm trying to use Control plus the arrows to zoom in and out, but when I do that, I just get a screen flash, and no zooming. I know I suck, but in addition, what am I doing wrong?
comeandgoband
Sounds like you don't have the arrange area selected when you are doing it. Make sure the white line is around the arrange area when you do it (if you are in Logic 9).
Soundhound
that's what I thought too. arrange area is definitely selected though...
Solution skeeter Posted February 9, 2010 Solution Share Posted February 9, 2010 Hey, Go in to your 'key commands' window by either pressing 'options k' or under preferences. Here do a search for ' zoom'. It will bring up your zoom options and from here use 'assign key label' to assign key commands to the zoom function. Cheers Skeet

Monkeymonkey35
New default key commands for zooming are Control-Option-arrow keys. Is it possible to change this to Option + Scroll wheel? (non-Apple mouse). Seems trivial, but I have to use multiple DAWs for work and this confuses me to no end.
anp27
Is it possible to change this to Option + Scroll wheel? (non-Apple mouse). Just tried with an el cheapo non Apple mouse, Option + Scroll wheel for horizontal zoom, Shift + Option + Scroll Wheel for vertical zoom. David Nahmani
Yes, it seems to be Option-scroll nowadays.
gwin_7
New default key commands for zooming are Control-Option-arrow keys. Is there a way to change this key command to something else? I can't seem to find it.

Yes, choose Logic Pro X > Key Commands > Edit and type "zoom" in the search box, you'll find the following four key commands. Click Learn by Key Label to reassign them. I’d like to press a different key than ctrl+option so I don’t have to move my hand down. is this at all possible?
triplets
I mean to change the ctrl+option keys which turn the pointer into the zoom tool where you can just click and drag I think that one's hardwired. Can't change it.

Those are not customizable.
