thedivisionbell
Undo steps limited to 200? And I guess we might finally see 64bit Stillwell plugins now.
johnno
does this mean no more "logic X pro rumors" thread? damn... I'm about to start the logic pro XI rumours thread if you care to participate
basils
Maybe no more Logic Pro Rumors Thread , but now we can start the "Logic Pro X Bitch and Gripe" thread There is a pretty good review here: http://www.macworld.com/article/2044283/logic-pro-x-loses-none-of-its-power-gains-great-new-features.html
deckard1
Would you guys advise for or against downloading right now after upgrading to 10.8.4? Or, should I wait? It's too good to be true!
admiralboots
So there is NO bit bridge any more? Ouch! Can some one confirm? Edited July 16, 2013 by admiralboots
fisherking
am gonna spend a week going thru active songs, work....and bounce all my sylenth1 parts to audio (will take most of a week, ugh). sad about the 32bit bridge, but...not surprising. my GF just walked by, she says "are you gonna spend the day TALKING about logic, or are you gonna install it and LEARN it?" the answer: both.... Edited July 16, 2013 by fisherking
beej
I don't think Sylenth is going to be updated to 64-bits anytime soon...
johnno
No mention of scoring to picture features/improvements in the official apple PR....has this disappeared? I'd be very surprised if it has. Maybe someone who is lucky enough not to be in work for the next 6 hours can give a quick review
fisherking
if this is a dumb question, my apologies. but am assuming X will open L9 files??...
Fat_Stanley
Looking at the specs it doesn't seem as though 32 bit floating point audio files are supported - can anyone confirm whether this is the case? The reason I ask is because I do most of my writing in Ableton Live and Live's manual recommends that dither be used when exporting at less than 32 bit. If I want to mix in Logic, I don't really want to apply dither to all of my stems before I start mixing. If there's a gap in my understanding I'd be grateful if someone could let me know! Jordi Torres
if this is a dumb question, my apologies. but am assuming X will open L9 files??... Yes, according to Peter Kirn: http://createdigitalmusic.com/2013/07/cdm-hands-on-logic-pro-x-brings-ipad-control-new-features-and-refinement-gallery-details/ J. ChrisByrd
I'm still trying to convince myself this isn't a hoax, but it surely looks like the real thing. Great news.
Farhanr
Finally, they are not 2 steps behind in Arpeggiator and gotta love the Flex Pitch feature
gpiccolini
Honestly it doesn't thrill me. I don't see latency compensation fixed... maybe it's done, but other than Track Stacks I see a bunch of prosumer candy. Is it me getting old or what? Glenn L.
I assume the 35 gigs of in app stuff is included in the price? I am allegedly downloading it now. I guess my Miroslav and other IK Multimedia 32bit plugs are unuseable.
fastfourier
I can't see any mention of "non-crap" multiprocessor support anywhere ... I downloaded it anyway, just for the MIDI scripting. I will find out after it has scanned 235023864123 audio units.
natallica
Can someone confirm that you can run v9 and X on the same system without issues?
Eriksimon
Here are the tech specs: http://www.apple.com/logic-pro/specs/ "High-end dithering algorithms (POW-r, Apogee UV22HR)" Ooooh, new dithering algorithm! Am I weird for this being the first thing that makes me want to upgrade? Absolutely.

tristancalvaire
Given the price, I doubt it- but is there a student discount, perhaps? I need to conserve as much as I can.

GeoGrvscl
"High-end dithering algorithms (POW-r, Apogee UV22HR)" Ooooh, new dithering algorithm! Am I weird for this being the first thing that makes me want to upgrade? ...looks like Logic (nicely) absorbed all the goodies from many (in this case, Cubase) daws available on the market today... and not necessary a bad thing. 8) ...one small step for an application. one giant leap for Logic users. one(actually 2) thing, I'd love to know is, could LP9 and LPX both can be used on the same computer? and is there a bridge? I'm a bit settled now from the initial hype...
