JoshJ
Once I have edited my lead vocal using Flex Pitch (turning & timing), is it possible to copy that Flex Pitch data to my other vocal doubles, so I don't have to make all the same edits again to those track? I'm looking for the quickest and easiest way to edit big vocal stacks. thanks
Eriksimon
No, you can't. Flex edits are unique to the audio itself.
Solution David Nahmani Posted January 11, 2017 Solution Share Posted January 11, 2017 You can however group all your channel strips and select "Editing+Phase Locked Audio" in the group settings. Then you start Flexing one track and the others in the group will follow. At least for Flex Time that is.
Droopy_TX
I understand the usefulness of doing group editing with actual phase-locked audio tracks (e.g. drum/drum room mics, multiple guitar mics, etc.); but, wouldn't vocal double tracks each have unique tuning and timing transients that would need to be accommodated individually? Well not knowing the type of recordings the OP is working for it's hard to answer. The OP is asking how to replicate the Flex edit from one track to another, so if that's the goal, the solution is to group the tracks. I do agree with you that in general, it's probably better to not try to replicate the edits on all vocal tracks, but rather to line up each vocal one by one. JoshJ
Thanks a lot David. This is effectively what I was looking for
