Ok... Got it...

Thanx for your replies guys!

However, it wasn't below the Vintage Mellotron as mentioned in the documentation,

but way down below, among my customized library entries...

Well, perhaps I have too many of them!

Here's how to have these legacy presets always visible without holding down the Option button: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=132496

so something is categorized as stock categorisation, something as brands, something as types, a lot is at top level + also recents :D

Ok admittedly a tad populated...

...but... anxiety?

Really? :?

"Would've given me if i had to work with it" :D

I'm a bit OCD about some things

I seem to notice that 10.6 seems to have removed the ability to float the mouse pointer over a plugin button to see the latency being reported by that particular plugin. Is anyone else getting this same behavior? I am working off a fresh install of Catalina so maybe its a preference I need to set that I have forgotten about, I'm not sure...but anyway...it doesn't seem to be working for me now. Just wondering if anyone else is seeing this or knows a way to find out that info?

Big Sur 10.6 and it works fine. Now. But not always. :D

I don't know what happened but at one point the hover-for-latency started working.

I noticed that it didn't when i first installed everything

I have metal GPU. rx580. I doubt that is it. I am looking all over in system prefs, can't find anything about tool tips, but since you mentioned that, I'm not getting any tool tips in any applications! I can't remember now if they were before in Mojave..I think so. I can dual boot back to Mojave later and try that out to make sure. But anyway, I just don't see any tool tips of any kind now.
