Has anyone seen the error message (OSStatus error -50.) before?

When I try to save my project I get this error: The operation couldn’t be completed. (OSStatus error -50.) Result code = -50. What does this mean?

I get the error message several times, each time it pertains to a different file in my project folder. However, once it cycles through all problematic files, the session saves. So it seems that only certain files are triggering the issue, however I can't seem to find out why. I can't find any issue with the files causing the error code.

(FYI I'm running Logic Pro version 10.7.3 on macOS Big Sur version 11.6)

What file types, audio files? What are those audio files? Were they recorded in Logic Pro? 

What disk are you saving to, the internal or an external and if external, how is that disk formatted?

They are standard WAV files, containing clips that were recorded outside of Logic Pro. Saving to an external SFAT drive.

I think the issue here was with the XML file. I re-imported everything using an OMF instead and it worked out just fine!

That is most likely your issue right there. Logic Pro is compatible with only APFS or macOS Extended (Journaled) drives.

Interesting... I've been editing projects on my ExFAT SSD for a long time now and have never had an issue with Logic compatibility.

You got lucky. Logic does not like Windows formats. There have been cases of project corruption because of Fat32 or ExFat.
