What kind of hard drive(s) are you using for that project?

Click this link to your signature and add your system information:

• Logic version and sub-version (e.g. Logic 10.0.3)

• OS X version and sub-version (e.g. OS 10.8.5)

• Computer (e.g. MacBook, Mac Pro, iMac)

• Processor (e.g. 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo)

• Memory (e.g. 2GB)

• Audio interface manufacturer and model (e.g. Presonus AudioBox USB)

(most of that information can be found by choosing Logic Pro X > About Logic Pro X, and  > About This Mac)

  • 5 months later...

I am having the exact same issue.

I get it from Time and Pitch and also when using ALT + drag to stretch/shrink audio in the main window.

I have tried:

Reinstalling Logic

Deleting Logic preferences

Repairing Disk Permissions

Using Various projects

Using different hard drives for projects

I cannot seem to get these functions to work anymore. I know ALT drag was working until recently.

Any help really appreciated!

Thanks for your speedy advice!

I tried this:

"start a new empty project and save it to the system drive of your iMac, then try recording some audio and option-dragging it, do you get the error as well?"

This did work.

Seeing as this worked I then duplicated the track in the arrange window and dragged the audio file from the rogue project into the new track and tested the time and pitch function from there.

However, It failed again but this time with the message:

"Error when creating temp file!".

Any thoughts?

Thanks again,

Matt

Hi,

Plenty of disk space on the main Mac OS Extended (Journaled) 3Tb Fusion drive.

There happens to be an external drive on USB, though I've just disconnected that in case that is related to the issue.

I'm working projects on the main drive.

I'm finding with an empty project. If i create a region of midi on a software instrument, if I bounce that to audio to the bin, then load that audio into another track in the same project I cannot stretch/shrink that audio anymore.

I'm seeing Error when creating temp file! now

Very odd.
