Logic Pro X 10.7.5 (Rosetta) Crash too often (MBP M1 Max, 64GB)

Hello,

I've a frustrating issue with Logic.

It's happening too often, like when I want to save the project it just crashes the software, or when I'm trying to open the Logic EQ the whole project just crashes and quits.

It's getting me crazy, I paid TONES of $$$ for this one and it not even working properly.

Appreciate any help here.

It is most likely a third-party plugin that is not behaving properly.

Either post a system crash report here, or read through the crash report yourself to find the thread that crashed and see if you can identify any plugin name under it.

 

Here's another way: Quit Logic. Take out all the plugins out of the components folder in Library/Audio/Plugins/Components. Put them in a folder on the desktop.

Reload the project. There will be 3rd party plugins missing obviously. See if he project behaves correctly.

If it does, quite Logic, put half the plugins back in the Components folder, reload the project. See how Logic behaves. Get the procedure? Try to narrow down which one is giving you problems.

I forgot to mention that I'm working with a .mov/.mp4 file in the project, and when I removed it and its audio file, the session stopped crashing.

Usually it should be displayed as soon as Logic crashes (or, open the Console app from Applications -> Utilities, find the Crash logs under "Crash Reports")

This may be a video encoding problem (seen many of those... ask your video editor to give you another playout with different encoding settings/format) or it may be a file permission problem. Worth taking a look at either of those.

I deleted the video but still had the same problem. Now I just tried to sum up 5 channels and it crashed.

So, Autotune is the culprit. I recommend deleting that AU

TBH I don't know. Maybe it's already sufficient to just not use it in your project.

From the Antares webpage "Antares plug-ins are not yet supported for macOS 13 Ventura." so, are you on Ventura already? You can as well deinstall Autotune then
