can't get meta event 84 to line break anything :-)

Hi very fine people at LPH,

I was wondering if any of you can get meta event 84 to work.

When I insert some in the event editor, expecting to see changes in the score editor, they don't seem to do anything.

Is there some procedure I'm unaware of - or are they obsolete ?  Crikey, Logic's 30 years old... 😞

PS Inserting the line break symbol in the score editor works fine.

Not at the studio to verify same, but in which region are you inserting that meta event? Does the inserted meta event parameters correspond to those of the pasted break symbol? Location-wise as well?

Hi Atlas007, thanks for your reply. I'm inserting the meta event into a midi part using the event editor in the main window. When dragging a line break symbol into the score editor , the line break is successful but there's no trace of it in the event editor as far as I can tell. Cheers.

You're right, same here. And, also here, inserting a Meta 84 events does not create a line break. I suppose it's obsolete and they found a new way to code the line break that no longer requires that Meta event.
