all stock instruments have stopped working (OSStatus error -50.)

I recently downloaded some additional drum and synth kits to the sound library, and this has apparently broken all of the stock instruments in Logic. whenever I try to launch an instrument I receive the following error code:

 

The operation couldn’t be completed. (OSStatus error -50.)

I cannot find anything on Google about this particular code. Logic and my OS are both up to date, I have already tried reinstalling Logic, and my computer has plenty of hard drive space. Can anyone offer some insight here?
