Drum Machine Designer Problem

When I click on electronic drum kit I can scroll through all of the full "kits"

The minute I make a pattern or midi region - if I try to flick through the full kits it won't allow me to

No matter what kit I choose the highlighter goes to the bottom and highlights kit pieces. I can then change all individual kit pieces but can't flick thought the pre designed full kits. 

Is there a way to fix this?

Click the "Kit Controls Bar" in the DMD gui. Drum Machine Designer interface in Logic Pro for Mac
