blinkofani
What’s funny is Mac Rumors had a picture with 2 MBP on its “What to expect at Apple event”. One with Final Cut and the other with Logic Pro. Nothing to stop the expectations!!
apricotandpearjam
either way apple have got to release a new version of logic that brings it more in line with the iPad version soon. its either tonight or imminent / next few months. They wait for no one and nothing.

des99
Wonder if we'll at least get an update with some M3 optimisations... (They did say Pro Tools, as well as DaVinci Resolve, Premiere and other industry apps, as well as their own ones... Logic got some screentime too.) user01
They act as if they want to make us forget, and frankly, I don't understand what Apple wants to do about logic.

StudioQ1
I feel like we all got a little ancy on this one. I feel like avid keeps paying for pro tools to be featured in these or something though feels a bit odd to shout out pro tools then mention Logic Pro in regards to students iirc? Haven’t gone back and rewatched. I think the longer it takes is honestly better news as it’s probably a bigger update.
just20
Unfortunately no Logic pro update yet, I am but also not surprised. I hoped for of course. But are the M3 chips already compatible with the current Logic Pro? Edited October 31, 2023 by just20

M3 chips are built to run macOS and macOS runs Logic Pro, so you know you're safe.

just20
In the Apple Event demonstation, Logic Pro is visible and seems the same as usual. So I guess there will be no update soon, at least no Logic 11. Maybe there will be a Logic Pro 10.8 in the future on what I have seen in Apple event video. But who knows. des99
I think it's more like Apple acknowledging the realities of the pro market, rather than just demonstrating that only FCP and Logic exist with creative professionals using Macs.

Exactly. It’s also good to know that if they don’t get ARA working again during Sonoma there’s a high likelihood Pro Tools will be a stable alternative for me! MikeRobinson
It doesn't matter to me that Apple would talk about Pro Tools, since they know that this is software that – for whatever reason – many of their customers do use. (If the studio that you're working in has standardized on that tool, then that's the one you use there. Other studios have standardized on Logic. So it goes.) Apple's primary business focus is to be a hardware manufacturer. That's how they butter their biscuits. They just supply various bits of jelly to go with it. 🙂 Edited October 31, 2023 by MikeRobinson

dundergufs
This is lucky reply nr 88 in this thread I'm here to announce my numerical excitement for the day I will be running Logic Pro 11.1.1 - or someday even perhaps 11.11.11 ! 🤩 (I might be okay with 10.10.10 too, allthough it is even...)
