MyDeathMachine
When I have record pre-roll enabled (logic is recording audio, even before the punch-in happens), when I first record in a blank section, I can grab the audio region and trim back the punch-in to reveal the audio that was recorded before the punch-in happened. If I record over this take (creating a take folder), I'm no longer able to trim back the audio of the second take like I was on the first take. I would think that no matter if its the first or nth take, they would all record the audio before the punch-in happened. Whats going on? Solution MyDeathMachine Posted December 7, 2023 Author Solution Share Posted December 7, 2023 Turns out, I needed to switch the take folder's editing mode.
polanoid
Alternatively, you can activate this setting in Settings->General->Editing, which avoids the need to switch between modes.

MyDeathMachine
Went to that section and found all of the related settings: "{Fade,Marquee,Quick Swipe and Take Editing} click zones." Switching to Logic, after being in Pro Tools for a decade, is so confusing, when you're used to having all the tools in one. These settings brings me closer to a workflow I'm used to 💪. Thanks again!
