Motorized fader controlling “focused” plugin parameter?

I'm scratching my head because I could've sworn a couple of products came out before that would let you write motorized fader automation to any plugin as long as it was "in focus." It wouldn't be limited to plugin automation, but also sends/volume/other automation lanes

I have a FaderPort v2, and while I think there are some workarounds to get sort-of that working, it's not ideal for what I'm trying to accomplish. I know the nOb controller can do this, but it's not a fader and a pretty boutique product.

Maybe the new panorama CS12 or Icon controller? None of this sounds like it would be a very "new" idea/concept though..

Example:

• open verb plugin
• click on wet/dry slider or knob
• fader jumps to parameter value
• control/automate value from there

@scottkrk had an awesome script for the v1 of the faderport to get this working, but I don’t think it’s going to work on the v2... so now I’m looking for another product that will! The SSL UF1 seems to do this with the jog wheel only unfortunately.

Have you tried to select Mix > Autoselect Automation Parameter in Read Mode and use Automation Quick Access?

Hi @David Nahmani thank you for the suggestion! I tried that and AQA seems to break the fader 🙂 It takes out motorized portion of the fader (Logic listens to the fader position but not vice versa) and won't work with any of the plugins, unfortunately.
