Export tracks at a specified level every time

Hi everyone.  I'm mixing my own band's album, we recorded everything in Logic, and we have a total of 11 tracks.  I have a mix template I'm using based on Michael Brauer's Protools template, and I finished mixing one song.  We're all very happy with the sound and feel of that song, so we want to mix the rest of the songs using the same template.

The issue I'm facing is that the compressors in the template expect the track levels at a certain volume, so I thought of exporting all the tracks in all the record sessions at a specified level.  By doing that, I would always have the kick at the same level, snare at same level, etc, and I would then just have to tweak less things on each song when mixing, since everything should sound more or less the same.  Let's say I need the kick to be at -5db, and no matter what's the recorded level, I will always export it at -5db.

To do that I thought of normalizing all the audio tracks in the record projects to 0db, set the levels I need on each track's fader, and then export the track with the option to include volume/pan automation.  Then save the channel strip settings to reapply on the rest of the recording projects.

Will that do the trick?  Is there a better way?

Pablo.
