AMD graphics. flash storage. thunderbolt 2 over 2X improved graphics performance multiple display support (supports 4K monitors..are there any yet?) later this year (they did not announce pricing yet). more info coming. time to sell my blood, raise funds... logic8mine
Or mac pro that is. Performance and size is quite impressive. But, no love for the macbook pro? Edited June 10, 2013 by logic8mine
fisherking
10.9's finder enhancements, and the new OS's cpu and memory management, seem like some of the 'pro' requirements we need. hope i'll stop seeing '-10011' errors. where's LX?????????? logic8mine
Dave, you omitted the 9" by 6" size of that mac pro which I consider one of its most outstanding attributes. Also, I'm waiting for someone to capture the screen from that ad he ran at the end of the presentation (dj on stage)and try to convince us it's Logic X. skylerdavid
has a new version of Logic Pro ever been announced at a Keynote? I only remember when Logic 9 was released, randomly, summers ago. That was a fun morning 8)

skylerdavid
has a new version of Logic Pro ever been announced at a Keynote? Nope. That's what I thought. I guess we will all just wake up to a nice surprise from Apple, some random day. Hopefully sooner rather than later

That's the way Apple has done it in the past, so that would be my guess too. Hopefully sooner rather than later Agreed!
fisherking
the pro, as weird as it looks, has amazing specs, and am sure it will be a hit. i think they could have put it in an egg carton and the people waiting for it would be happy (instead of a black trashcan...). and 10.9 looks promising... personally, i've given up on LX, i think it will be here the same day sylenth2 is released (as a 64bit AU)... David Nahmani
the pro, as weird as it looks, has amazing specs, and am sure it will be a hit. You've summarized it pretty well. Looks like a very, very powerful ugly machine. Just one more paper bin under the desk. But who cares. IMO this is the beginning of the end of desktop computers anyway. IMO this is the beginning of the end of desktop computers anyway. reminds me of the original ibook, the 'toilet-seat' one... kinda cool, you can put it under your desk next to a small, black, cylnder trash can. great for aesthetics, and for confusing potential thieves. i honestly think it's weird-looking, but, one thing i've learned from my apple experiences...see it in person. that's where the ooh'ing and aah'ing usually happens. NLock
Hey, Am I the only Mac-Logic user wondering how to connect my external FireWire soundcard ? Seriously, will I be obliged to buy a new Thunderbolt soundcard ? Is There any available out there ? Will I charge the cost of a new computer and of a new Xternal soundcard ? Maybe I blind, but I didn't see anything about CD/DVD player/writer. How will we install new VI and 100gigs libraries ? Too many questions to enjoy this annoucement to me Thanks if you have answers

That sounds ultra mega lame. I'm flabberfounded, and dumbgasted. Mavericks they call it. After that OS X Desperados? OS X Sturmbahnführer? OS X Weareallcompleteidiots?
