Yes yes yes, and this year, I swear to god I'm not going to give up after 1 track. I'm going to make sure my February is set aside. I'm not too too upset about this year's, though. The reason I didn't get around to it was because I was working on other projects
el-bo
good to hear i can't wait... i do have electricity this time...i will have a guitar that is more recordable but i have to fit it around work...something i didn't have to consider last time roll on february.... biff_larken
I forget, how much did you get done this year at RPM? I sort of shamed myself out of revisiting it a lot.
el-bo
hmmm...first week was great..wrote 6 guitar pieces....then 2nd week moved into a house without electricity, which i didn't get till very near the end of the month.... in a way i'm glad because the pieces i wrote are pretty damned good, i reckon...still working on them, when i can...glad they weren't rushed but, next year, i will no fail
skyshooter
I cleaned up David nice looking place! I just picked up the same desk, I like the idea of the shelf on the left rack, I have two computers under there right now with a Furman power conditioner on the top only. So I have some space being wasted there I should put to use and that looks like the ideal thing. Do you find the monitor shelf to be to tall? I would love to get some articulated arms to hold the monitors, so I could pull them down in front of the racks and then up out of the way when playing/recording or just needing the desk space. I need to get some monitor stands built I just can't fit my 24" and 22" monitors along with the pair of KRK Rokit5's very ergonomically on the upper shelf. I love the chair, it looks really comfortable and easy to play guitar while sitting in. What kind is it and where di you find it? P.S. How was the Carlsbad, CA trip for you, eat some good food? dkgross
yeah..the monitor shelf is a bit too high...and, actually, with the 2 24" monitors, my speakers are a bit too far/wide for my taste. I'm just to it though. I love having my keyboard in front of me instead of to the side. I don't have an external mixer, so it makes everything really ergonomic. I do wish the monitors could be a little closer..but sometimes I just zoom in on them to make the picture bigger if I need it

Bluespro123
I was having trouble setting up my studio and having easy access to my keyboard, mouse, and Euphonix controllers. I did not want to move the Oasys away from the computers for obvious reasons. This set up works for me. I usually am recording guitars, bass, drums, on Logic. The Euphonix controllers are to my right and left. When I start final mix, etc., I center the Euphonix units so I can better hear the mix, etc. They are on "On Stage Stands", $80 at Guitar center. Kent Sandvik
Ikea is great. Just now I have to work in a standing position - recommend this highly -- and I got the right stuff for raising the table from Ikea, cheap, too.
