el-bo
can be very expressive due to being controlled by breath (duh...obviously)....would love to see synths incorperating 'real' breath control had it been 5 years ago, i probably would have converted it into a bong

66d35
A few pics of our little place here: http://web.mac.com/videocom20/Studio/Welcome.html We do mostly pure acoustic type stuff. Andy
Amber
Andy, I just wanted to point out you have no contact details on your site. Are you based in Wales? If so where?
el-bo
bucking the trends, andy firstly...purely acoustic.....great and using logic for the purpose....most would go 'the other' software (you know the one ), for this type of acoustic/audio production very encouraging

Holger Lagerfeldt
http://www.popmusic.dk/grafix/studiobigfront.jpg http://www.popmusic.dk/grafix/studiobigback.jpg http://www.popmusic.dk/grafix/studiobig1176.jpg I built this 1176 clone, and was pretty damn happy that it sounds like the original! I'm going to rebuild the entire studio from scratch in two months, everything is changing, new console, new acoustics, etc. 30" screen, + 4 iMac workstations in the other end of the studio. MaxwellJump
Wow, what a great space! And now for something a little more down-market: http://www.divshare.com/img/3947825-1a4.JPG Yes, those are vintage 14" crt monitors. Crappy drums and noisy PC not shown. OddTime
Wow lagerfeldt!! That looks like an amazingly inspirational space to work in. (Nice neat job on the cabling too). Is that a custom desk? I've never seen anything like it.

David Nahmani
lagerfeldt: No-one, but no-one, does "minimalist" quite as elegantly as you Scandinavians ! ! ! It's true Lagerfeldt's amazing studio pics show some very nice minimalism at work. If you saw a pic of my studio you would understand what I mean - but I'm too ashamed to post one. Papers and CDs everywhere - a big mess really.

David Nahmani
Don't get me wrong, there is some kind of birch veneer somewhere in there, you'll just have to lift up a few piles of CDs and papers to see it is all. - and as for the mood lighting, one of my halogen lamps has needed a new bulb for, like, 2 years now? Eric Cardenas
Holgers place really looks amazing (he's so damn good with photoshop )! I'm a scandinavian too, but I'm sad too say that my place falls under the "David" category...
Holger Lagerfeldt
Wow lagerfeldt!! That looks like an amazingly inspirational space to work in. (Nice neat job on the cabling too). Is that a custom desk? I've never seen anything like it. Thanks guys Yes, it's a custom desk done by a Danish carpenter named Henrik Öhlers who specializes in these things. It's also freaking expensive, especially the acidic laquer finish. This is my current studio but I'm going to build a better one in the same space in about two months. I'll post some pictures when it's done. A whole new desk even more minimalistic and acoustically fine tuned since I'm doing a lot more mastering these days. Waterboy
How do yo like those A7's? I suppose I should also ask you what type of music you do?! Nice setup, everybody.
Kouly
I love all the pics and I will say the Danish sure have a way with design. Lagerfeldt I think there are many things that could be said about your studio and all of them good! Here is my attempt at trying to find good sound with livability. http://members.cox.net/warroom1/Studio.jpg Edited March 4, 2008 by Kouly

bdolny
waterboy, i like them. the sound is very detailed. the woofer is only 7" but they have got nice low end, however the extra sub would be a good investment. i do some minimal stuff, occasionally progresive house, breaks. the A7's work well with that.
