Very interesting Plugin's (their 64bit too) but like the developer said, you have to take care in gain staging: to an average signal level of 0 dBVU for effective and uniform headroom 8) Also downloaded the Stillwell's 'Bombardier Buss Compressor' and 'The Rocket compressor'; The Bomb was sweet on a Vox Sub, but sadly these are both 32bit plugs Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'm wondering if I'm missing something vital in making this one work right.... if I reduce the output gain by exactly the same amount as the drive is increased, (to avoid loudness bias) I can hear no difference between bypassed and not bypassed, no "tubeness" is evident. This is without any of the plug's EQ engaged..... Yeah, it's not super in your face (unless you hit the boost button). But, when I crank the Drive knob to full, I can definitely hear it "toobing". Yep, pretty decent for sure although I think Truepianos still reigns with an evener tone. But - very cool what XLN did for creating pianos with completely different vibe via mic positions, sample shifting and so on. I came this close to buying their keys bundle and then I went and listened to the latest Pianoteq demos - I think they've finally got it way more than right with version 4.
