MowingDevil
Thanks for the links man, those drums were just the 16-bit, dirty, snare-bleed-filled samples I've been searching for! And I can never resist vibe or marimba samples Hmmm, maybe you like this free "BIG mono" exs kit also...I know I do! http://www.analoguedrums.com/details-bm.php J. Link seems to be dead now... Jordi Torres
Link seems to be dead now... Something's up with their website (www.analoguedrums.com). Says it's "parked" at the moment. I assume that means it will start running again at some point... J.

Mehdi
The SSL LMC1, which is an old plug-in, is powerpc only. It'll not work on an Intel Mac.

Logic can't use VST without 3rd party software, you need to use AU plugins. Anyway, the SSL site says: Macintosh computer with PowerPC G4 or faster processor (not Intel Mac)

MowingDevil
new TAL synth. they call it the noisemaker. so dirty and good. great filter on this thing. Intel, windows and PPC http://kunz.corrupt.ch/?Products:VST_TAL-NoiseMaker I downloaded it, got a "component" so I put it in the components folder (library/audio/plug-ins). Where do you find it in Logic now? For the life of me I couldn't find it. I assume its ok to use both the 32 & 64bit versions of you have projects in either one or the other. Thats what I would have thought....for whatever reason it doesn't. I put it in the same place all my other 3rd party plugs went....no dice on TAL for some reason. Is this one treated as an effect or a software instrument?

michael2
as for the TAL synth, I just read that the 64 bit version isn't loading in Logic. luckily TAL constantly does updates on their plugs.
MowingDevil
Ah, have they fixed it? I just found it in 32bit mode-thanks!
ibt
I assume its ok to use both the 32 & 64bit versions of you have projects in either one or the other. The 64 and 32 bit components have the same name, so, since both have to occupy the same Plug-ins/Components folder, you need to change the name of one of them. Rename the 64bit: TAL-NoiseMaker64.component - problem solved edit: ^ no longer an issue - fixed in 1.
xpander
Despite it's name, it is available in both VST and AU format. As a bonus, I believe it is a 64bit release. http://aradaz.blogspot.com/p/download.html It look like it's pretty simple to use. I can't comment on sound quality as I have yet to test it out. - xpander
David T
Came across this really great sounding freebie. In it's current form it only offer 128 presets but it has a fully fledged SID synth under the hood. Perhaps we could encourage the developer to complete it. http://midibox.org/forums/topic/13759-emulated-midibox-sid-au-and-vst-for-macwindows/
xpander
A new phase-shifter plug-in is now available at www.soundhack.com/ It's only VST at the moment, but the AU version is coming soon. Also, IK Multimedia have re-released SampleTank Free v2.5. www.ikmultimedia.com/sampletankfree/download/ - xpander
David T
This is a great little freebie; SonEQ is a digital equalizer that takes parts from some vintage gear and combine them in one. SonEQ has 3 bands, bass, middle and treble. Also, SonEQ has a pre-amp section. http://lh5.ggpht.com/_rMGbNLzv2FQ/TLTeyADsgCI/AAAAAAAAAXw/AHmFA92KO50/s800/soneq1.1.png Features: 3 band Equalizer, Low, Mid, High. 2 Musical Filters, High-Pass Low-Pass. Preamp stage with bass booster. 64-bit floating point precision. Up to 192kHz sample rates supported Get it here http://sonimus.com/site/page/downloads/

s0niccurve
jordito, have you got the harmony box working correctly in logic? I am having issues with it playing back from midi regions. Im on logic 9.1.3 32bit, I can get it to play whilst the playhead is moving and there is no midi region on the track, but as soon as i try to record or draw something in its stops emitting sound. does sound very cool though when it does play
